In the first video, you'll see a compilation of live shots, my anchoring experience, and some of my most memorable stories.

My reel will showcase live shots from presidential campaign rallies, an explosion that happened 25 minutes before we hit air and more. You'll also see me filling in on the desk. But then, you get to the good stuff; storytelling. I chose the three stories you'll see because of  the people they're centered around. First, you'll meet a crossing guard who lost a coworker when a vehicle crashed into her as she helped children walk to school. You'll also learn how county records I dug up prove the city failed to maintain several safety recommendations at that intersection given to them years ago. Then, you'll get a glimpse of what it's like to train for a cross-state run. Ryan Wade ran hundreds of miles in one week to raise money for blood cancers - dedication inspired by one little boy. And finally, I'll introduce you to Don Juan the Karaoke Wonder. He's an 85-year-old man who spends each night serenading women inside Cedar Rapids karaoke clubs. But spend a little time with Don and you'll learn each song is inspired by one woman.

I chose these stories because of the people at the center of each. These are the people I drive past every morning on my way to work, people I see on the running trails in my free time. They're the reason I love this job.

Below my reel, you'll find even more of my favorite stories.
